Meals
The Retreat price includes a delicious breakfast served with home baked fresh bread, fresh fruit and a selection of cereals, yogurt and honey, a light salad lunch and a two-course evening meal. The food is prepared using only the freshest seasonal and local ingredients, including oregano, mint, thyme, rosemary, and olives from our own garden. It is served with our own organic extra virgin olive oil made from olives harvested from the estate.
The evening meal will include a selection of dishes to cater for every taste. The menu is a set menu which has been carefully and thoughtfully planned to ensure that guests receive a delicious, nutritious and balanced diet throughout the duration of their stay.
One evening meal will be a dining out evening at the nearby local tavern.
Please note that we take account of any guests who are sensitive or intolerant to foods but we are not a restaurant and therefore cannot prepare individual dishes on request.
Travel Information
The villa where the retreat takes place is located outside of Lefokastro village on the Pelion Peninsula. It is one of the most lyrical areas of Greece, a mountainous region rich in olive orchards, villages with stone houses, intimate beaches, bays, azure water, the smell of apple trees, fig trees and herbs. One of the main reasons that Pelion remains unspoiled is that it is slightly off the beaten track. The upside is that this discourages the hordes, and when you get here, you will find peace and tranquility, and empty beaches (and cheap tavernas serving delicious Greek food).
You can get to Pelion by flying first to either Volos, Thessaloniki or Athens. Volos is the nearest airport, but the flights are limited. The property is about 30 km South of Volos. Most visitors to Pelion travel here via Thessaloniki (approximately 2-hour drive to Volos). We will send you the transfer options from the airport to the property when you book.
Some people who are coming to Pelion like to fly into Skiathos and take the water taxi across to Pelion (about 15 minutes) and take a taxi to transfer directly to the retreat. We will be happy to advise on costs etc. if this is of interest.
